Yeoncheon Herb Village

Trying to get away from the heavy air pollution in Seoul? A nice ride out to the countryside is all you need. The Yeoncheon Herb Village is the perfect place to spend an afternoon and get good steps and beautiful photos in.

All things considered, it’s a large place to walk around. I suggest you bring comfortable shoes. There’s a lot to see, and I ended up spending about 2 hours here just walking around. And yes, it smelled heavenly.

Even though it was overcast that day, it was just so beautiful. Also, the air was super clean as well! Yes, the lavender made it all smell wonderfully.

Perfect place to get a good photo in. It’s a rare occasion for me to not be where there are bright lights 24/7.

There’s a variety of things to see besides the lavender fields. I personally liked the flower rows and waterfall as runners up.

When you’ve had enough of inside, you can explore a greenhouse as well. There are nice benches to sit on if you need a little rest.

Attached to the greenhouse is a farm-to-table restaurant. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were large. There is a combination of Korean and Western options, and it’s cool because there’s a large window where you can see into the greenhouse. It’s quire picturesque.

When you’re about to head out, there is also a gift shop where you can buy candles, face masks, and I believe even tea. Overall, this was a perfect afternoon spent outside of Seoul. I went via a group day trip, but the air and smells are so worth it that it would be worth having a carpool for it.
