I love cute things, I love Taipei, I love stuffing my face, I love themed cafes, and I love Gudetama. This was bound to be a natural progression.
Everyone, welcome to the Gudetama Cafe. Located in Da’an, Taipei, this is a place you must visit.
When you first arrive, there’s a host who takes down your name and party size. You might have to wait awhile. However, we were told it would be about 20 minutes, but we ended up only waiting about 5-10.
I want these dishes so bad! However, I don’t think they sold them at the gift shop. 🙁
Even’s the women’s restroom got some Gudetama love.
They did an impressive job with the decor. They made sure everything was Gudetama themed (even the bathrooms are super cute!). As much as I love themed cafes, some of them disappoint me. Some of them are way too commercialized with overpriced, sub-par food and drinks. This was not the case. They had a variety of actual food, and I appreciated their healthy options. Food was reasonably priced and were of good portion. Even the unhealthier dishes looked to be of good quality (no sad floppy cheeseburgers with overcooked fries here).
If you need more Gudetama in your life, there’s also a little gift shop, although it seemed like there was a limited selection to choose from.
